I love this chapter   Written by Cheryl (10/17/2005 5:15 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Sparks flying in Molland's!, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

The electricity - yes! Wonderful stuff.

I love how Anne sees him walk by - "she was lost" - but she rallies enough to rationalize to herself going to the door to look out - just to see if it's raining, you know. No other reason, of course. ;-)

It is nice to see Frederick the one who is not composed. Like Jenny, I don't really want him to suffer - but I do. Just a little. It's good for him.

And he is jealous of Mr Elliot: "Captain Wentworth recollected him perfectly. There was no difference between him and the man who had stood on the steps at Lyme, admiring Anne as she passed, except in the air and look and manner of the privileged relation and friend."

Ouch. That must have hurt - and then she leaves with him and he has to listen to his friends speculate on their upcoming marriage! ooohhh, it's delicious. Fab, fab scene. That Jane Austen - she's pretty good, isn't she? ;-)
