...that that's what JA meant by a "small thick" rain, Barbara, though to me, a rain that almost blots out most of the objects to be seen from the window is a little too aggressive. ;-) To me, a gentle rain is the type that you hardly even notice at first, only to discover some time later that you really are quite wet!
