danger of Mrs. Clay and SW? Is she convinced that Mrs. Clay would never dare to scheme for her father? Is it possible that she actually likes Mrs. Clay and would not mind a marriage between them?

I must admit that I don't get Elizabeth. She has traveled beyond Kellynch and mingled with society. We only know of her disappointment regarding Mr. Elliot and the embarrassment of the 'Book'. She is a mystery to me.
