Charles Musgrove is another of my favorite JA supporting characters. This novel, in particular, is extremely rich in excellent supporting characters!

Charles, I believe, is one of JA's few examples of a spurned lover that can still behave decently, and show affection and kindness to the "spurnee." Darcy is the only other, as I can recall. The other examples we have are Collins, Elton and Thorpe - yuck !
