Business Cards   Written by Jenny Allan (10/13/2005 10:21 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Your Card, penned by James S.
Are you new?

Well people still use and leave business cards. When I was a receptionist I was forever taking cards from salesmen and such hoping to get an appointment with someone in the office. Of course, now it seems like people mainly leave their cards in fishbowls in order to win a free lunch at a theme restaurant.

I agree it is a very civilized practice. And the fact that people kept them on display, means they functioned a little like a guestbook. I am amused that Sir Walter and Elizabeth arrange the cards they have on display so here you are in the display is a bit of a barrometer of their feelings about you.
