When Mary's husband Charles arrives to find his injured son being attended to, he calls the boy Charles.

When Captain Wentworth comes to say good morning to Mary and Anne (when Anne finally sees him for the first time), CW says, "I hope Little Charles makes a speedy recovery [...]."

Also, in my cpy of Nick Dear's script, he is referred to as Little Charles in all stage directions, etc. (e.g. LITTLE CHARLES remains on the sofa [p. 27])
