Actually not   Written by Barbara (10/12/2005 11:45 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Adaptations, penned by Jenny Allan
Are you new?

Willoughby's name does not get changed in S&S2. He is still John Willoughby. But he is never called by his first name. The only reference to it is when they say 'John Willoughby of Allenham'.

Another name change in Persuasion is, of course, Phoebe (in P2) rather than Fanny as it is in the book.

I think it's interesting that a couple of the important characters don't have first names: Captain Harville (does he?), Lady Russell, and Admiral Croft.
