I love sea-faring metaphors when it comes to Wentworth. And that is exactly what has happened. His true feeling only came into focus when it was too late, when he is locked by bound by his own sense of moral responsiblity for the accident into a further aquaintance with Louisa Musgrove, if one will be possible.
