Yes   Written by James S. (10/11/2005 1:10 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, But he stayed until, penned by Kara M
Are you new?

Quite true, Karla. You almost have me believing in FW :). But somehow I think he should hover, leave his card. Without being a nuisance. As Willoughby did when Marianne sprained her ankle in S&S (maybe not the best example). Hmm, it must not have been easy to be a Regency man. FW probably senses that this is the time when Louisa will see how much FW likes her. If he is at Louisa's home at each opportunity, they are as good as engaged (in the minds of the Musgroves). If he calls infrequently, his affection is in doubt. Jeepers, he probably wishes he were back at the ship, where things are simpler, and he can order people around.

It would be simple if FW knew his feelings. If he adores Louisa -- zap, at her side. If he still has his eye on Anne, he doesn't want to make her jealous (although he has been doing a good job so far). For a military man, FW seems indecisive.
