I must admit   Written by Peg (10/10/2005 11:24 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, The opposite, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

it is at about Chapter 14 when my feelings toward Lady Russell become tainted. "Any acquaintance of Anne's will always be welcome to me,"....HA! Lady Russell is reflective of her own sphere of acquaintance. Decorum on the surface but what is underneath? Everything must follow a form and pattern she understands and approves of. At first I loved her for her affection towards Anne. Now I suspect it of lacking compassion and charity. Two qualities we know Anne has in spades. What a heroine.
