...that what was considered the "correct" or "natural" attitude to take after a break-up struck me as being quite different in JA's day than in our own. Whether it was better or worse is another question! ;-) I just think that today it would be considered only human nature to notice your ex's less-than-stellar qualities after the break-up (and actually, a bit *un*natural if you didn't). Again, I didn't mean to make a value judgement about whether either was better or worse.
