Not unusually observant   Written by Luc (10/8/2005 6:01 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Is there reason to be suspicious?, penned by helena6
Are you new?

]It seems overly observant. Surely it could have also been a clever way to get Anne out of his sight. But Anne never suspects this. I'm uncomfortable with her powers of observation. They seem almost superhuman.

If Anne and CW were strangers, then Anne probably were too good in her observation. But remember, once upon a time, they were everything to each other - something like "soulmates". I don't think it is surprising that Anne should be able to tell what CW was thinking. It simply proves that their acquaintance was not skin-deep.

Besides, if you don't want to see someone, you can simply ignore their presence - something I have often done and I have often seen done. Getting rid of a person in such a way like CW did defies its original intention because instead of putting that person out of your mind, you are directing pointed attention to that person. It doesn't make much sense if getting Anne out of his sight was CW's intention.
