both right. It just seemed to me that, somehow, it must have come out but, because it was "only Anne" and CW wasn't really anybody at the time, no one might have considered it worthy of note subsequently. I mean, why would a successful captain even consider Anne when he had younger girls hanging on him? I forgot the section Teri-mc quoted that pretty much rules out the issue being a topic of discussion.
