Isn't it just more proper to have pleasant feelings?   Written by Mary Ellen (10/7/2005 5:03 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Thinking well of the person you broke up with, penned by Line
Are you new?

These days we are all so in touch with our feelings. We let out all our anger and frustration. If a relationship ends, with no fault on either side, isn't it better to think well of the other person? Isn't it true that when we are angry, we are only hurting ourselves? Isn't it true that these characters might easily have been friendly with their former beaus at a future time? Wouldn't you rather wish them well, and have them off your mind, then dwell on how they've wronged you, and stay awake at night?

I'm sure that Miss Manners would approve of Anne's behavior. Not showing your hurt is the first step to not feeling it.
