this is one point which also puzzles me. I would much enjoy to be disputed in this matter. Surely if two people become so very interested in each other that they actually become engaged, their behavior -- dancing together, talking together, laughing together, speaking of each other -- would surely have been noticed by others. As someone here said, at Kelyench and at UpperCross, both families are quite self-involved, but still...
