LR was right   Written by Heather Renee (10/5/2005 3:33 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I don't know that it turns LR's earlier view "on its head&qu, penned by Delories
Are you new?

It rathers confirms her view. He was passionate, impulsive, confident, and did not look to the future. He once again assumed everything would be alright and just ran to his friend before his leave was even approved. If he had been married to Anne, been discharged for leaving without approval, and left them poor and destititute then what would we think of his actions? It would be akin to us calling in to work, leaving a message that we would not be in all week, and then running to support a friend in need without even talking to our boss. Would we expect to get fired? How many of us would just pick up and go like that? It speaks to CW's putting friendship above everything but also speaks to his rash and impulsive, 'man of action' nature.

Once again, CW expects everything to turn out alright for him, as it always does. I am not assigning admiration or disgust for CW's actions here, just pointing out this was exactly the kind of thing LR based her objections upon.
