Elizabeth and Mary   Written by Marianne B (10/5/2005 11:03 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I think Mary, penned by Kara M
Are you new?

I believe you're right. Elizabeth is probably not an easy lady to relate to. I also got the impression that she was a little bit jealous of Mary, because Mary got married at 19, and Elizabeth is 29 and still not married, nor does it seem she has any hope to marry in the near future.

From chapter 1:
" Always to be presented with the date of her own birth, and see no marriage follow but that of a youngest sister, made the book an evil;"

As for sir E, I am not very impressed with him as a father. He doesn't seem to be at all interested in neither Anne nor Mary, and only superficially and vaguely avare of Elizabeth.
