I don't think CW understands his true motivations   Written by Kalyn (10/4/2005 3:58 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Some good points, penned by Jenny Allan
Are you new?

I think by this point that CW is still really attracted by Anne. He had many mixed emotions upon renewing the acquaintance, and still has some. I believe he has convinced himself that it's fun to be with the Musgroves, but that he stays in the country and continues his visits because of Anne (his heart may be broken, but it's feeling more than I'm sure he wants it to!). I just don't think he's ready to admit any of this yet. But I love to imagine his thoughts and all of the undescribed moments in the book, like his arrival at Kellynch and the thoughts that may have been going through his mind. Thanks for getting me started!
