Anne again at Lyme   Written by James S. (10/4/2005 3:26 p.m.)
Are you new?

Anne also says that she feels little while sitting next to FW at Cpt. Harville's table. It is "a mere nothing." She is so over him, Reader.

Kidding herself? But in Chapter 11, Anne does seem to have more spirit, more bite in her observations. She asserts herself by trying to improve Cpt. Benwick's mood, actually telling him what to read. Is this related to her physical contact (momentary)with FW? I'm reluctant to accept this, as it seems to be the sort of thing Hugh Hefner would say if somebody handed him a copy of Persuasion.
