Why doesn't Anne say she'd like a ride back?   Written by Tracy W (10/3/2005 4:28 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Chapter 10: Long walk into the looking glass, penned by Tara O'Donnell
Are you new?

It's always puzzled me that Anne doesn't say she'd like a ride back, when the Crofts offer and the other ladies have refused. I can see her hanging back until the others have made it clear that they don't want to go, but why after that? Anne may have low self-esteem, but it doesn't seem pathological enough to account for refusing the offer of a ride.
