...that men had *no* place in the sickroom, but that she agreed with the popular idea that women *in general* (especially "superior" women like Anne) were particularly suited to the task of nursing. Of course, as you point out, she gave us more than one example of a woman who was obviously *not* suited to that task! ;-) Good point that Anne may not have been quite honest in making her comment!
