CW seems a domestically-inclined sort of man   Written by Kim in AK (9/30/2005 5:25 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Week 2 Focus: Family Influencing Marriage, penned by Pennie
Are you new?

He fixed his interest with Anne when he was quite young; he felt he was ready to settle down and create a home and family in his very early 20s, so it doesn't seem surprising that this is his object now when he's comfortably situated financially and he's set free of his navy duties. Apparently his family recognizes his wishes. He seems exceptionally warm-hearted and suited to be a family man (just as LR observed of Anne!). I'm sure I'm basing some of my observations of his character on future chapters, though, since many of the examples that spring to mind to justify my statements are still to come. However, he seems perfectly content to remain in the home atmosphere with his family and his new friends the Musgroves. I doubt that the confined society in the area leaves him many opportunites for unrestrained single male behavior, but he doesn't seem to be itching to leave. In short, he looks like a man ready to settle down!

And of course everyone else is hopeful that he wishes to marry into their family!
