Anne's plight   Written by James S. (9/30/2005 11:37 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Superior Anne (longish), penned by Pennie
Are you new?

Intriguing comments, Mary Anne and Pennie. But what is the value of Anne's mind and character, if she is powerless? I'm reminded of Joyce in France: "silence, exile and cunning." That's all she has -- to indirectly, and cleverly, win back CW, if that is what she wants. And escape her circumstances.

She is largely silent in company, and even with her family.
And she is ignored by family, as if she were elsewhere.
She'd better use her wits.
