... that gardening was Elizabeth's hobby in the same way that piano was Anne's hobby. In P&P2 you see the Bennet ladies working in the garden - not weeding or anything hard, but cutting the flowers, drying them in the still room, and perhaps they arranged them. It would probably suit Elizabeth as a pastime as it would allow her to have beautiful flower displays to show off to guests
