right out of my head! I was contemplating that idea, esp after Anne's mention of Providence several chapters earlier. I thought, "Perhaps this WAS Providence, that CW would gain this wealth, that he and Anne would know the real meaning of loneliness and life apart from eachother in the deepest sense, and that time would test their love." Hmmm, something to think about!
