Perhaps there should be something in the shoppe about any man having the potential to be a better person if he only chooses the right wife! ;)

We're not going to agree on Charles, but I've enjoyed the back and forth. I'm also reluctant to keep answering in this thread because I'm afraid it will disappear within a couple of hours. :)

P.S. I think you should expand the "book of books" idea to other characters and other novels. If the Baronetage is Sir Walter's and the Navy Lists CW's, what would John Dashwood's be? Or Mr. Woodhouse's (some kind of quack cookbook or health manual)?
