I agree! I assume that Anne observed the conventions Written by Annette J. (9/28/2005 4:37 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I agree with much of your analysis of CW, except for, penned by Kalyn

of the day regarding this issue. Thinking about other Austen heroines, if Anne had been a Marianne the situation would have turned out in a very different manner: she never would have broken the engagement to CW, and I am sure if a misunderstanding took place between them would have moved heaven and earth to get a message to him!
