I'm sorry--I just have to bring up the 1995 film here! I enjoyed it in its entirety, but I must say I was completely enchanted and enthralled by these initial Musgrove scenes in the film. The depictions of Mary and her complaints (kudos to Sophis Thompson!), of Anne being in everyone's confidence, of the first meetings between Anne and CW...who could forget a despondent Amanda Root staring in the mirror after hearing how "altered" her beloved Frederick found her, or her hand grasping the chair at breakfast as he arrives...
