...so I shan't repeat, but merely concur, that it's remarkable how deeply into the hero's POV we are taken in so few words (wotta writer!). In two previous readings of the novel, I'd never been struck by that as keenly as now, thanks to posts like Lia's (ah, but isn't that what GRs are for?).
