I had never really put two and two together in this regard. It really makes you wonder what was said between Anne and Wentworth. He seems to have gone off in a huff, but when you think about why she broke off the engagement, it is a bit puzzling. She wasn't saying she didn't love him or want to marry him. Just at this point ih his career the timing was wrong. So why didn't he come back?
