Are you new?

What I am unsure about here is... was it Frederick or Anne who made it a final parting? Whether she would have been willing to wait and he stormed off in a huff, or whether the disapproval of everyone, but most importantly LR was too much to overcome. LR still would not have approved of CW, even had he made his fortune, correct?

So my question is... Did Anne word her relinquishment of the engagement as a final parting or did that come from CW leaving so angry?
