Even if they are not nature lovers or great walkers, I imagine young people in love during this period suddenly took a great deal of interest in both.

Being unloved and having a large estate to wander about on, Anne may have had more room to move about unknown and unseen.

But Sir Walter did not refuse, it was Lady Russell who convinced Anne to change her mind.

So maybe they had a week. I don't imagine much more.
