I am also not sure how much traveling the Elliots did...   Written by Emmy (9/24/2005 2:18 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I say that because, penned by MaryAnn K.
Are you new?

I got the impression that even Sir Walter and Elizabeth went to London only once a year and it's not for that long of a period (ie. the whole "season"). So was there means ($) for Anne to travel even had she wanted? It brings to mind Kitty's fit in P&P where she is so put out that Lydia gets to go to Brighton. We see Jane to London and Elizabeth to Kent and Derbyshire yet Mary and Kitty never go anywhere. Granted, this is only in the course of one year.

Also the line "she had been too dependant on time alone" I took to mean she'd been too dependant on time only, in other words, time heals all wounds. As opposed to spending time alone (by herself) because we're told that she still visits Lady R (nearly) everyday.
