I myself would jump at the chance to be away from SW and E, but then Anne is a bit downtrodden and is either not in the mood. Could Elizabeth have persuaded her father from allowing Anne going anywhere whilst she stayed at home (a la Kitty in P&P having a fit that Lydia got to go to Brighton whilst she remained at home)?
