I think so   Written by Joan Ellen (9/20/2005 7:54 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, She wanted Anne to be part of the family?, penned by JeannetteF
Are you new?

]Maybe she just kept trying to get Anne involved/accepted in family outings and to have her accepted as a member of the family.

I think LR is hurt on Anne's behalf that she is so undervalued by Sir W & Eliz. She feels it is an insult to Anne that they prefer the company of Mrs Clay, though I think Anne herself has long since given up expecting anything different from them. But then LR is of 'sound rather than quick abilities', so she continues to hope... ;-)

P.S. The quote you mention is in chapter 5, so out of bounds for the moment! :-)
