Like you, I noticed and tried to solve this by thinking that Lady E died late in December 1800. But that would still leave 5 month until Elizabeth turned 16 and more than 7 months before Anne was 14.


There seems to be a minor mistake.
I have no chritical edition. Is this mentioned in any of them?
