That is a provocative thought. It was beyond me (when reading at 1am with an itty bitty book light,) to conceive of anyone trying to persuade Sir W. to woo and wed them. But, desperate times, desperate measures and all that......

These supporting characters, as JA so deftly pens them, can be a source of great entertainment!
