She does have much to gain from Sir Walter retrenching. Both directly, through if he marries her, and indirectly, through her father who benefits from getting paid even if Sir Walter doesn't marry her.

I read those speeches of her as trying to both help her father persuade Sir Walter to accept a naval officer as a tenant, and get in some extra buckets of flattery to try to persuade Sir Walter to take her as a wife.
