Anne -- primarily due to Sir Walter's lack of interest in her, as she was a younger daughter. I think Lady R took advantage of her position as Lady E's oldest friend to treat Anne as she would have treated her own child, had she had one. There are some people who secretly enjoy manipulating others, claiming it is due to all the best of intentions. Lady R. talked Anne out of two marriages to decent men (to Wentworth and later to her brother-in-law, who now was saddled with Moaning Mary). I think Lady R is not only a poor judge of character, but also a snob with an unconscious streak of malice. And, no, I don't like the character!
