Do we know... Written by Ann2 (9/19/2005 4:33 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, All the 'Marys and Elizabeths', penned by Barbara

...Lady Russel's Christian name? Was Anne perhaps named after her godmother? And was this her mother's wish and one opposing Sir Walter. One may suspect that he would prefer to take every name from his favourite book.
