Absolutely   Written by MaryAnn K. (9/19/2005 1:34 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Youth-killing dependence [ch. 4], penned by Maisy
Are you new?

If both could only forsee the future outcome of their decision! A few paragraphs down, we see Anne's change of opinion, she "did not blame LR, did not blame herself", but would give very different advice to a young couple in the same situation. Where as LR "never wished the past undone" but started to feel the "anxiety which borders on hopelessness for Anne's being tempted, by some man of talents and independence"

Over the 7 years, LR never did realize the mistake she may have made. We are left only to see this rather sad realization that Anne had been "forced into prudence in her youth, she learned romance as she grew older: the natural sequel of an unnatural beginning." =-(
