Lady R & Sir W   Written by Cheryl (9/19/2005 10:08 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I've of two minds, penned by Tara O'Donnell
Are you new?

Interesting point about her reluctance to marry Sir Walter stemming from a difference in class. I don't know that I buy it, though. She is Lady Russell, after all, the closest in rank to Sir Walter as the widow of a knight, just one step down on the rung from a baronet - certainly the only eligible person in the neighborhood, if he were looking for convenience.

Though Sir Walter aimed higher, didn't he? - those "unreasonable applications". And then there were those "disressing" crow's feet... (ch 1) ;-)
