Sir Walter (Chapter I)   Written by Emmeline (9/19/2005 6:15 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Laughing at Sir Walter, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

'Vanity was the beginning and the end of Sir Walter Elliot's character; vanity of person and of situation...Few women could think more of their personal appearance than he did; nor could the valet of any new made lord be more delighted with the place he held in society...'

I think that in this paragraph Jane Austen describes Sir Walter very well. :)
