Thanks to everyone for their stimulating contributions to the discussion, and especially to the haiku-writers and the moderators! This is my third GR of P&P. Every time, I start out feeling like I've pretty much covered everything in the novel, but every time, I discover that I still have new things to learn. To borrow the words of Elizabeth Bennet, there seems to be something new to be observed in this novel forever.

In fact, thanks to my own focus on gossip in P&P, and Nan Duval's on letters, I'm so enthused that I wish I could start again(!), focusing more generally on how information travels in P&P, especially on non-verbal communication, and also on collecting Mr. Bennet's pearls of wisdom. However, it's probably a good thing for the other parts of my life that a P&P GR only comes along every few years. ;-) Thanks again, everybody! :-)
