...but it would be interesting to discover how the story would be different had Mr. Bennet been a good father. Darcy may not have had so much reason to prevent Bingley from falling in love with Jane due to relations so awful. Lizzy wouldn't have had so much occasion to be thrown together with Mr. Darcy, and be grateful to him for saving her youngest sister. Can't tell what else would've happened. We could go down the nature v. nuture argument, but why did Mr. Bennet turn out the way he did? I blame his parents. :) They let him make a foolish choice of a wife!
I would also enjoy having dinner with him.
