Netherfield on the spectrum   Written by Roisin (5/20/2010 5:57 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Houses as symbols of art and nature..., penned by Benedicte
Are you new?

I think, as we know it, Netherfield would have probably fallen closer to art. After all, Caroline Bingly is mistress of the house and she is all about show.

After the wedding and Jane assuming the duties of mistress, I think Netherfield probably started to shift to the other side of the spectrum. The change would not be great or sudden, but even in the manner of living, there would be a tangible difference, though fleeting, since we know they move quite soon.
