OK, I'm finished with a 3 day training class so now I have time to say more than 'I agree!' :-)

Mr. Bennet can be a slacker, but I do believe he knows how to behave himself in company - when he wants to. And I also believe that he would want to behave himself very well when he is visiting Pemberley. I don't think there would be much there for him to ridicule anyway. He would probably be much happier there and occupy his time with better things. Whatever it is that gentlemen did back then - hunt all the birds, drink a bottle of wine a day, dance all night, etc. ;-) (kidding, kidding)
