...who enjoyed books rather than constant conversation. That was one of Lizzy's appeals from the beginning. Perhaps some of his objections to Miss Bingley were that she paid so much attention to him in all settings that it made it very very uncomfortable for him. It seems he was a man of few words on most occasions.
