This is awesome!   Written by Stephanie (5/18/2010 2:30 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The passing of time in Pride and Prejudice, penned by Benedicte
Are you new?

Notice also that times of natural changes are when Jane Austen's plot has a myriad of changes - spring and the two autumns. Also, see how letters ignite events - from Miss Bingley's inviting Jane to dinner, to Darcy's explanations, to Jane's information about the elopement... Marriages even have less effect than correspondence - when anyone gets married, the plot even slows down.

Thank you so much for pulling this together. I have stolen your .jpg for my own files, because I am sure to be looking at it in future! ;)
