The best coveys are those which are populated with the most birds that are of an age to be shot without destroying all of the fowl on the estate. In other words, the locations that will gove the best sport. Mr. Bennet (were he to be so silly as to follow his wife's intentions) should have no difficulty in identifying his "best coveys."
